[REVIEW] Movie Joker: One of the greatest villains
Joker is a movie that itself has a lot to say in itself, and is itself viewed as a "Document of society and people of this era," but in reality It's like a mess of controversial social issues that has nothing interesting to say.
If we look in that direction, yes, it is a perfect movie for 2019. Joker is what we "deserve".
And it is a coincidence that the man who brought us that "worthy" thing is the director of The Hangover and Old School. (A bit on the sidelines, I like those two movies) But no, maybe it's not too surprising that the director could not succeed successfully with this difficult task. Don't get me wrong, actually I quite like Todd Phillps movies.
Joker is also a very good film, even Joaquin Phoenix is also a talented actor and will definitely receive an Oscar nomination. And, yes, I watched Martin Scorsese movies, which inspired Phillps up to this point, such as casting Robert De Niro as Jerry Langford in The King of Comedy.
And maybe when it was the fifth or sixth time when we saw Phoenix alone in a room, laughing madly at herself, it was like, WE KNOW IT. I walked out of the movie theater in a state of confusion between disgust and indifference, indifference accounting for most of it. Joker has lots of bloody and violent scenes, but I don't feel anything while watching it. Once again, it's a perfect movie for 2019, we go to the cinema to see a horror movie, we feel frustrated and hopeless, and then we live on.
There's a scene in Joker that makes me feel like I'm being punished, like being a prisoner. Joker has just killed a man with a pair of scissors and then walked softly down the steps and shrugged down to the music of Gary Glitter "Rock & Roll Part 2" - an artist who sat down to schedule for pedophilia and sexually assaulting a child; I'm sure Mr. Gary Glitter is about to receive royalties from the song and I can't resist the feeling of being tortured by my past sins. It's like I get karma and I have to watch this movie.
Shot on scenes from the '80s, Phoenix plays Arthur Fleck, a sick man and when he is no longer cured with mental problems, he becomes a cold-blooded madman. . (True comic book style)
What annoys me with this movie is that Arthur is not some bad guy trying to create chaos to become chaos - like the way Joker of Heath Ledger did. No, Heath's Joker is no ordinary guy, but it kind of shows us that he has a bigger plan from his steps.
Here, Arthur is just a morbidly fortunate man who gets a little lucky about his motivation when he kills some of the mocks who are mocking or beating him, which gives us a sense of a kind of street violence. That's the wall. So most of Gotham people see him as a hero for killing a few rich guys.
I'm pretty sure that the movie is referring to him as a hero, or is giving us a vague feeling like, “Hey, this guy is not a black or white guy at all, self. get it, "like that. But in fact, we are just sitting here watching a sick man fall deeper and deeper into his disease just because he is no longer being cured.
There have been a few words "talking in and out" about the film promoting violence, which is quite funny to argue because our society is inherently cruel and violent. Humans don't need to justify anything to kill people or other horrible things before the Joker and they certainly don't need after the Joker debut.
Joker looks more like a symptom than a disease
If I think that way, I have to praise Phillps for creating a rather cruel film and think it is extremely important, when in fact, he still cannot figure out where it is cruel and important. It really is just a movie for the present. The film is almost a summary of popular culture long ago.
And Phillps has made a movie that gets a lot of attention, which is not easy to do at the moment. I don't care about Joker, but it's not something you can forget like other movies. It will not be just a temporary phenomenon. Like it or not, but I bet the Joker will be part of our lives for a while.
Joker thinks it will shock you with its violence, but when you look at it, it doesn't really stay with viewers. Joker doesn't even make Arthur pitiful. Poor Arthur needs a little more thought.
Instead, it is just for viewers to feel unhappy while enjoying the movie about a sick man.
